Rodney Lance, who is Project Manager of the wastewater treatment plant in Great Falls, Montana, has been a professional in the field for 35 years, beginning his career in the Air Force and joining the Great Falls operation in 2011.
Since then, he has risen to Operations Manager in 2014, Assistant Plant Manager in 2019 and becoming Project Manager in 2021. He credits his career to a commitment to safety and a strong relationship with the City of Great Falls, a community of 65,000 people where Veolia has been operating and maintaining the plant for several decades.
“Rodney is amazing,” said Paul Skubinna, Great Falls Public Works Director. “He’s been plant manager for a little over a year and has really stepped up and done a great job.”
Rodney received the 2018 William D. Hatfield Award for industry excellence and was named 2021 Operator of the Year by the Montana Water Environment Association.
Rodney was profiled in a recent issue of Treatment Plant Operator. Check out the story here.
